Special Needs Swimming

While swimming is a valuable skill for every person, there are many additional benefits for individuals with developmental disabilities. Although it improves strength and flexibility, the benefits aren’t just physical. A group setting will assist the student with developing social skills and self-awareness. When combined with music, swimming helps to develop creativity in a positive manner. The program is designed for individuals six years and up, including adults. Participants who have not mastered the right skills will be placed in swimming and water safety classes before joining the group artistic swimming program.
