Ducklings Learn-to-swim lessons for kids in Hallandale Beach

The older foundational path, for swimmers who can go underwater, take a breath and keep moving. The class develops body position, kicking and coordinated breathing, so children are ready to start formal stroke work.

What Ducklings learn

The foundations every stroke is built on.

  • Body position

    A balanced, streamlined position in the water that lets a swimmer glide.

  • An effective kick

    Kicking technique that drives the swimmer forward.

  • Steady breathing

    Breathing that becomes more consistent and efficient, timed with the swim.

Before the first class

  • Ducklings and Super Frogs build the same foundation. Ducklings uses longer practice segments suited to older children.
  • Placement follows demonstrated skills as well as age.
  • Close adult supervision stays essential around every body of water.
Common questions

What people ask before they book

Is my child too old to start learning to swim?

Ducklings is built for older children, with longer practice and instruction for their age. A child still getting comfortable underwater starts in Tadpoles first.

Ducklings or Super Frogs?

Both build the same core skills. Ducklings has longer practice segments for older children; Super Frogs uses shorter activities for younger ones.

When does stroke work begin?

Right after Ducklings. Sea Otters works on freestyle and backstroke once body position, kick and breathing are steady.

How warm is the pool?

The indoor pool is held at 90°F every day of the year.
